As the Vice Chancellor of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Professor Okolie has set an inspiring precedent for transformative leadership, academic excellence, and institutional growth.

A Professor of Political Science, Fulbright scholar, and former Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Professor Okolie has long established himself as a beacon of intellectual rigor and administrative ingenuity. His expertise spans international political economy, electoral studies, peace and conflict, international law, and development studies, making him a formidable authority in both research and policy discourse.

Since assuming office as the Vice Chancellor of ESUT, Professor Okolie has implemented remarkable reforms that have elevated the university’s standing. Perhaps even more noteworthy is the 97% accreditation and re-accreditation success rate achieved across ESUT’s academic programs following rigorous evaluations by the National Universities Commission (NUC). This remarkable feat reflects Professor Okolie’s steadfast commitment to maintaining and exceeding academic standards.

Additionally, in 2024, His Excellency, Barr. Ndubuisi Mbah Multi-purpose Hall was completed, adding to the university’s array of modern facilities. The ESUT Pavilion is also nearing completion, further cementing Professor Okolie’s legacy as a transformative administrator.
