My administration would prioritize education sector, Hon. Ogalla assures NUT

The Chairman of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State,

Hon. Michael Uchenna Ogalla’s Commitment to Education

, has reiterated his administration’s dedication to the education sector, assuring that his regime would continue to provide quality education to the people of the council area.

Hon. Ogalla stated that there can never be sustainable development of any society without good education. He assured that his administration would continue to provide needed support and a conducive learning environment to foster learning in his council area.

He made this assurance during a meeting with members of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Igbo-Eze North Chapter, at the Council’s Secretariat on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

He pledged to address some of the concerns raised by members of the union within the limit of available resources in the council area.

NUT Chairman Commends Ogalla’s Efforts

In her remarks, the Chairman of NUT, Igbo-Eze North chapter, Mrs. Uchenna Eya, commended Hon. Ogalla’s efforts in improving the education sector in the local government.

Transformation Media gathered that the meeting, which was held in a cordial atmosphere, provided an opportunity for the Council Chairman to interact with the teachers and discuss issues affecting the education sector in Igbo-Eze North.

Key Issues Discussed: Teachers’ Welfare and Infrastructure

It was equally learnt that the meeting provided an opportunity for the Council Chairman and the NUT leadership to discuss various issues, including teachers’ welfare, infrastructure development, and the need for continuous training and capacity building for teachers.

It was also gathered that the meeting allowed teachers to express their concerns and suggest ways to improve the education sector in Igbo-Eze North.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the NUT Chairman, Mrs. Eya, who expressed appreciation to the Council Chairman for his warm reception and commitment to education. The meeting was attended by other officials of the NUT.
