The meeting aimed to address the pressing security challenges gripping the nation.
The security chiefs, who had arrived earlier, patiently awaited the President, who joined them after attending a function outside the State House. The discussions are anticipated to delve into strategic measures to counteract the surge in terrorism, kidnappings, and killings that have plagued various regions of Nigeria.

Simultaneously, in another critical move, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun orchestrated a vital meeting with the Force Management Team and Tactical Squads on January 15, 2024. The meeting sought to tackle the growing concerns surrounding insecurity, with a particular emphasis on recent abductions within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
