Envoy Urges Dialogue, Ceasefire in Israel-Hamas Conflict

Mr. Abu Shawesh, the Palestinian Ambassador to Nigeria, has passionately urged for an immediate cessation of hostilities between Israel and the Palestinians, stressing the critical need for a complete ceasefire.

In his address to the media in Abuja on Thursday, Shawesh emphatically advocated for the initiation of discussions aimed at achieving a two-state solution to the ongoing crisis.

It was noted by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the conflict erupted on October 7 and has persisted for a period of 48 days.

Furthermore, the envoy emphasized the release of all captives from both sides and underscored the necessity for an impartial investigation by an independent commission into the assault on the Al Shifa hospital in Gaza.

Expressing readiness for peaceful negotiations, Shawesh stated, “We, as Palestinians, stand prepared for an equitable dialogue to settle these issues and seek a two-state resolution to bring an end to the conflict.”
