Nigerian Troops Eliminate Six Boko Haram Terrorists in Sambisa Forest Raid

Nigerian military forces, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and HYBRID forces, successfully conduct a raid on a Boko Haram camp in the Sambisa Forest, resulting in the elimination of six terrorists.

In a recent operation carried out in the fringes of Sambisa Forest in Borno State, Nigerian troops from Operation Hadin Kai North East, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and HYBRID forces, have achieved a significant victory by eliminating six Boko Haram terrorists.

The operation, which took place on September 7, 2023, targeted a Boko Haram camp situated in Garin Ba’aba, located in the Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. This area is approximately 70 kilometers from Maiduguri and is situated at the heart of the Sambisa forests.

During the operation, the terrorists attempted to resist the advancing troops. However, the Nigerian forces swiftly engaged them, resulting in the neutralization of four terrorists from their surveillance team known as the “Murabitun”. Subsequently, the remaining Boko Haram members began firing from their positions while chanting “Allahu Akhbar” (God is great). In the ensuing gun battle, two more terrorists were gunned down, while the rest managed to escape.

This successful operation demonstrates the ongoing efforts of Nigerian security forces to combat terrorism in the region and protect the lives and safety of its citizens.
