The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has disclosed that they’ve received reports of approximately 62 cases of alleged mysterious disappearances of male genitalia across the territory.
The Commissioner of Police for the FCT, Haruna G Garba, conveyed this information during a press conference held at the command’s headquarters on Friday.
Of these 62 cases, Commissioner Garba clarified that 51 were found to be false alarms, and the individuals responsible for raising these false alarms have been apprehended and brought before the court.

He emphasized the importance of the community cooperating with law enforcement to ensure the city remains free from criminal activities.
He stated, “The first reported incident of male organ disappearance occurred in Gwagwalada on the 21st of September 2023, and since then, it has spread throughout the entire FCT. As of today, we have documented a total of sixty-two (62) reported cases, with fifty-one (51) suspects facing legal consequences for providing false information and inciting public disruption.
“I want to underscore my commitment and willingness to collaborate with the residents of the FCT to combat crime in all its forms within the Federal Capital Territory.”
