Collaborative Efforts to Combat Illicit Activities
In a significant move to combat illicit activities, the Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Mohammed Tajudeen Aminu, handed over 365 pieces of pawpaw-sized wrapped Cannabis Sativa, weighing approximately 176 kilograms, to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ogun State Command.
The handover took place on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Representing the Brigade Commander, Colonel Legborsi Deedum Nule, the Garrison Commander emphasized the Brigade’s commitment to working with other security agencies to eliminate crime in the state. He reiterated the importance of maintaining high standards and professionalism among troops during their duties.

The suspect, apprehended during a routine patrol on January 6, 2024, at Olodo Imeko along the Imeko-Abeokuta road in Ogun State, was responsible for the possession of the seized drugs.

NDLEA Commends Military Collaboration
Commandant Jane Ibiba Odili of the NDLEA Ogun State Command commended the collaborative efforts of the 35 Artillery Brigade. She expressed gratitude for the ongoing cooperation with the military and urged further collaboration with various security agencies in the state to combat drug-related offenses effectively. The successful interception and handover underscore the commitment of security forces to maintaining law and order in the region.
