In a recent operation, the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) successfully arrested 29 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud.
The operation, carried out on Friday, September 15, 2023, aimed to curb cybercrime in Enugu state.
The suspects have been identified as follows: Ali Chukwuebuka, Arinze Ede, Charles Aforka, Ugwueke Chidera, Ugwu Felix Chenedu, Chizu Ifejika, Chris Emmanuel, Chukwuka Onye, Chukwuneke Nicholas, Daniel Okwume, Ebubechukwu Egbo Victor, and Ejeh Monday Nelson.

Additional suspects apprehended during the operation include Francis Peter Ifechukwu, Chibuzor Ikweze Anthony, Joshua Onah, Martin Excel Ozichukwu, Ejeh Moses, Ogbonna Okpata, Ohia Excel, Nicholas Okereke, Kingsley Onyedikachi, Osinachi Johnson, Enejeh Paul, John Samuel, Omeh Kamsichukwu Joseph, Chigozie Egwuatu Chiderem, Okechukwu Ezeka, Johnson Onuorah, and Emmanuel Johnson.
Several items were confiscated during the arrests, including two Lexus IS 350 cars, 45 mobile phones, seven personal computers, one Airtel Wi-Fi device, and one hard drive.
The suspects have provided valuable information during their interrogation and are expected to face legal charges in court in the near future.
